À propos de Mini bypass gastrique (MGB-OAGR)
Performed laparoscopically under general anaesthesia, the surgeon forms a long, slim stomach pouch and connects it to the small intestine a good distance from its start, with a single join rather than two. The operation is generally shorter than Roux-en-Y bypass. A matching name for the same family of operations is one-anastomosis gastric bypass.
Weight loss is usually substantial and comparable to Roux-en-Y bypass, and conditions like type 2 diabetes often improve. Results depend on your starting weight, eating habits and the surgeon's experience. Because bile can flow back into the stomach, some people develop reflux or irritation, and vitamin and iron deficiencies can occur without supplements.
Expect to stay in hospital around three days and to plan roughly a week close by. At home you will move through staged diet textures, take daily vitamin and mineral supplements for life and need regular blood tests. Report persistent heartburn, bitter-tasting reflux or vomiting to your doctor, as these may need treatment.
