PGT
Preimplantation genetic testing — screening embryos for chromosomal or specific genetic abnormalities before transfer.
PGT (preimplantation genetic testing) tests a few cells biopsied from a day-5 embryo. PGT-A screens for chromosomal aneuploidy (wrong number of chromosomes). PGT-M tests for specific heritable conditions. PGT-SR detects structural chromosome rearrangements. PGT-A can raise per-transfer success rates by selecting euploid embryos but doesn't increase cumulative live-birth rate per cycle started.
