How we check hospitals, doctors, prices and the AI.
Trust is our product. Here is exactly how we check what you see on Medcasts, so you don't have to.
The 5 checks
Checked against the accreditation registry
Every accreditation we show is cross-checked against the accrediting body's own registry when a hospital is listed, and re-checked every year. A hospital that loses accreditation loses the badge.
- JCI, NABH or the national equivalent, with its registry
- Re-checked against the registry every year
- Badge removed within 30 days when accreditation lapses
- International patient desk confirmed before we ask for quotes
Credentials from primary sources
Our standard is to verify doctors against primary sources: national medical councils, specialist registers and published work. Profiles are corrected when credentials change.
- Medical council registration checked on the public register
- Specialist qualification confirmed
- Licence number shown on the profile once verified
- Profile corrected or removed when credentials change
Written, itemized, from the hospital
Quotes are requested in writing for your case from the hospital's international patient department. We don't publish prices a hospital hasn't confirmed, and we don't add a markup: hospitals pay our fee.
- Written quote for your case, line by line
- Every quote shows its validity date
- Price ranges on the site come from real hospital quote sheets
- Same package price as going to the hospital directly
Helpful, explainable, never the final word
AI helps us read reports and search thousands of hospitals and prices quickly. It never diagnoses, and medical opinions are written and signed by named specialists, not by a language model.
- AI never diagnoses or chooses your surgery
- A doctor reviews before any medical opinion reaches you
- Your coordinator and doctor can override any AI suggestion
- Automated directory text is kept short and factual
We stay with you after you go home
Your coordinator keeps in touch after discharge and works with your home doctor. If something goes wrong, you can report it and we step in.
- Follow-up for at least 90 days after discharge
- Records passed on to your home doctor
- We ask for your feedback after every case
- A direct line to report any problem
How AI and doctors work together
AI is fast at searching hospitals and prices. Doctors are good at judgement. We use both, and a doctor always has the final word.
- AI reads your reports Pulls out the diagnosis, key findings and what's missing. Translates.
- We shortlist hospitals Accreditation, specialty, price history, your language and budget.
- A doctor reviews and signs Confirms the plan, removes unsuitable options, can override the AI.
- You get written quotes Itemized by each hospital, side by side in your case page.
Questions about how we check
Do hospitals pay to be listed or ranked higher?
No. Listing order is not for sale. A partner hospital pays a coordination fee only when a patient chooses it, and that does not move it up on listing or comparison pages.
Does the AI decide my treatment?
No. AI helps read reports and search options. Any medical opinion is written and signed by a named specialist, and your coordinator and doctor can override the AI at any step.
How often are hospitals re-checked?
Accreditation is re-checked against the accrediting body's registry every year. If a hospital loses accreditation, we remove the badge within 30 days.
What if my bill doesn't match my quote?
Tell us. Send the quote and the bill to your coordinator or use our incident report form, and we take it up with the hospital.
