What medical records do I need to share for a quote?

Medcasts editorial team

Minimum viable: recent imaging report (CT/MRI/angiogram/X-ray depending on condition), pathology report if applicable, current medication list, summary letter from your treating doctor. Nice-to-have: prior surgical history, family history for cancer cases, dental clearance for cardiac patients (infection risk). We handle all transfers encrypted, delete from active storage 90 days after case closure. Specific documents requested vary by case — your case manager will give you a checklist within 24 hours of first contact.

This answer is general information, not medical advice. Your own doctor should confirm what applies to your case.

How this page is made

Methodology and editorial standards

Answers are written by the Medcasts editorial team and updated when prices, guidelines or visa rules change.

  1. Hospital data. Accreditation, licences and facilities are checked against public registries (JCI, NABH, health-ministry licence lists) and hospital documents, and rechecked regularly.
  2. Doctor credentials. Qualifications and specialty come from the doctor's hospital profile and national medical council registers.
  3. Prices. Price ranges come from written hospital quotes and packages, not advertised rates.
  4. Clinical text. Written by our editorial team and checked against current published guidelines before it goes live.
  5. Independence. Hospitals cannot pay to change their position on our pages.
