Are dental implants abroad safe?

Medcasts editorial team

Mostly depends on materials + lab, not destination. Implant brand matters — Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Osstem, Bredent are tier-1 with 20+ year data. Unbranded implants are a lifetime risk. Lab: prefer clinics with on-site or same-building labs — they can iterate faster and you can approve adjustments during your trip. Full-mouth reconstruction should be staged (not 3-day 'smile makeovers' that skip osseointegration). Warranty in writing, 5+ years on implants, 10+ on structural.

How this page is made

Methodology and editorial standards

Answers are written by the Medcasts editorial team and updated when prices, guidelines or visa rules change.

  1. Hospital data. Accreditation, licences and facilities are checked against public registries (JCI, NABH, health-ministry licence lists) and hospital documents, and rechecked regularly.
  2. Doctor credentials. Qualifications and specialty come from the doctor's hospital profile and national medical council registers.
  3. Prices. Price ranges come from written hospital quotes and packages, not advertised rates.
  4. Clinical text. Written by our editorial team and checked against current published guidelines before it goes live.
  5. Independence. Hospitals cannot pay to change their position on our pages.
