Angiography
Imaging of blood vessels, often using injected contrast and X-ray or CT.
Angiography (coronary, cerebral, peripheral) visualizes blood vessels using contrast injection. Modern alternatives include CT angiography (CTA) and MR angiography (MRA), both less invasive than catheter-based.
What this means for you: invasive coronary angiography is both diagnostic and therapeutic (stents can be placed during the same procedure). Confirm intent before the procedure: diagnostic-only or willing to intervene.
What a term means for you depends on your own reports. Ask your treating doctor, or send your reports for a free review.
