بروتين يُفرَط في التعبير عنه في بعض سرطانات الثدي والمعدة، ويوجّه اختيار العلاج المستهدف.
HER2 (human epidermal growth factor receptor 2) status is tested on breast and gastric cancer specimens. HER2-positive cancers respond to targeted therapies (trastuzumab, pertuzumab, T-DM1).
What this means for you: confirm HER2 testing has been done on your tumor. Without it, you may receive inferior therapy.
