Strokes are medical emergencies. Ischemic strokes (85%) are treated with clot-busting drugs (tPA) or mechanical clot retrieval; hemorrhagic strokes (15%) are managed by controlling bleeding and pressure.
What this means for you: stroke needs immediate care, not international travel. Post-stroke rehabilitation, however, is well-suited to international destinations.
