Hospital accreditation is independent, third-party certification that a facility meets a published set of standards. JCI is the most-recognized international body; country-specific national bodies include NABH (India), KTQ (Germany), HA (Thailand), CBAHI (Saudi Arabia), KOIHA (South Korea), MSQH (Malaysia). Accreditation is a qualifying filter — necessary but not sufficient for picking a hospital.
