Don't forget

Check medical visa requirements with the country embassy 3–4 weeks before travel.
Plan for 1–2 attendants and request visa-attendant endorsements at the same time.
Ask the hospital to itemise any exclusions (imaging, blood bank, implants, extended ICU).
Confirm post-op medication will be available in your home country (brand names differ).
Arrange a written discharge summary + medication list + follow-up imaging plan in English.
Keep 10–15% of the quote as buffer for small overages — most cases settle within range.
